Unity Of Oppression und Speziesismus (vor 13 bzw. 33 Jahren; Anm.)
Das Unity Of Oppression-Konzept ist eine Erweiterung der Dreifachunterdrückungsthese des Black Feminism durch die Tierrechts-/Tierbefreiungsbewegung. Die Diskussion um das Konzept begann und endete in den 90ern und ist heute fast nur noch von bewegungshistorischem Interesse. Die aktuelle wissenschaftliche Diskussion um Intersektionalität (forciert von der Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung) bietet jedoch Anschlussmöglichkeiten an die Diskurse der 90er. In diesem Beitrag – ein ausgekoppeltes Kapitel aus meiner im Erscheinen befindlichen Einführung in die Tierrechts-/Tierbefreiungsbewegung „In sozialer Bewegung für die Befreiung der Tiere: Theorie, Praxis, Diskurse“ – zeichne ich die Entwicklung und die Kerngedanken beider Ansätze nach.

Encoding data in decimal requires many more characters than the same data encoded in base64—
06513249vsYWJj—but using decimal is better when stored in a QR code. The magic of QR modes means all those extra digits are stored efficiently, almost as though there was no encoding at all. Decimal encoding makes for QR codes that store more data, or are easier to scan.
Der Sekundenzeiger «bringt Ruhe in die letzte Minute und erleichtert die pünktliche Zugsabfertigung.» (Hilfiker). Er läuft etwas zu schnell, sodass er zu jeder vollen Minute ca. 1,5 Sekunden stehenbleibt, um auf das Minutensignal zu warten. Sein minütlicher Stopp wird als besonderes Kennzeichen der Schweizer Bahnhofsuhr heute noch nachgebaut, obwohl die ursprünglichen technischen Einschränkungen, die zu dieser Lösung führten, heute nicht mehr zutreffen. Die Ergänzung um den roten Sekundenzeiger – teilweise auch mit minütlichem Stopp – wurde von anderen Bahngesellschaften übernommen.
