Viele Experten, erläutert RSI, stimmen darin überein, daß die als leicht erlernbar, benutzerfreundlich, effizient, produktiv und portabel geltende Programmiersprache C im Begriff ist, die Standardsprache der achtziger Jahre zu werden."

Günstig war Oracle auch früher nicht: "Der Preis für das Datenbanksystem beläuft sich für IBM-Systeme auf 48 000 bis 96 000 Dollar, für DECs VAX und PDP-Zentraleinheiten auf 24 000 bis 48 000 Dollar." — 1982!
