AOL became so famous for three things. Dropping connections, ongoing billing after account termination, and free CD ROMs promoting their site. When my father worked for Warner Brothers and Time Warner bought AOL out, all employees connected with Time Warner were offered free Internet service. My Dad retired and shortly thereafter, AOL sabotaged the network connection by changing the password. Over time, they erased the hometown homepage I created, but now that they seem to be experiencing harsh economic times, I was able to log myself back in using the same old password for my AIM account. I recovered my E-mail address book as well as my AOL journal. I heard that AIM would also be offered free personal web page services. So I tried logging in with AIM and duplicated my site there too. Although the old site got erased, it wasn't difficult copying source code and pasting it to duplicate my site on AOL, which reminds me, I need to go in and edit it to include the update for the new issue of Pilcrow News which I've already linked at the Ourobouros Psycho page. I know I've been creating my [create zine] backwards. I should first upload the html version, then incorporate it into [create pdf format] for storage. I'm sure, with time, I'll get things right.
labeling samples is the root to building my [create PWP], but I've been having so much fun blogging, I don't really care to find new clients. If I was more business oriented, I would try to plug the [create feedback form] in a variety of calligraphy based websites. I have no ambition to improve my journalistic ability. So remember, when you visit the AOL journal that one of them is from the original user name (GdeStOmar) and the other is from a similar AIM user name (gdestomer).
