Eberhard Lutz: Dysfunctional Design

At the end of his essay, Eberhard mentions an extremely interesting piece of software: Sanos. It's a minimalist (single-task, single-address-space) operating system targeted at running the Windows version of Sun's Hotspot JVM - unchanged. To that end, it replicates all of the [create Win32] API that's required for that task, and stays amazingly lean otherwise.
