|LANGREITER.COM plain, simple|
Distributed, parallel (AI) system architecture.
Multiple experts stand in front of a blackboard. If the contents inspire anyone to add something worthwhile, the chalk is grabbed and that particular aspect of wisdom contributed. That new information in turn may lead to other experts being inspired to contribute.
Obvious problems: Serialization (performance), cyclic expert dependencies.
Advantages: Very loose coupling of experts (independend development), when extended to a networked multi-blackboard "hall" system (like in ZWrap) where experts wander around (and simply off to the next blackboard if one is currently in use), straightforward parallelization.
