An implementation of the [create CODASYL DBTG] proposal (?) to run on IBM mainframes. Evolved from experience gained while helping [create General Electric] debug IDS. The original version was mostly written in [create ISL]. Developed at [create BF Goodrich] between 1969 and 1971. The project was taken over by Cullinane in 1973. Still available as CA-IDMS. Original development team: Vaughn Austin, Ken Cunningham, Jim Gilliam, Pete Karasz, Ron Phillips, Dick Schubert  [create Pete Karasz] on the early history of IDMS
