Markov Chains are a pretty good method to synthesize large amounts of text that, if blogs and a variety of news sites are taken as input source, upon superficial inspection read just like a somewhat confused blogger randomly babbling along and endlessly quoting other blogs (i.e. like langreiter.com). It's quite conceivable that in this very moment our friends, the Nigerian Herbal Viagra salesmen, are building huge intralinked "Markov Blogfarms". Together with referrer/trackback spamming of hitherto "trustable" sources, this might just have the desired effect ... It's time to get the blogosphere autoimmune system up and running.
