The Wiki system used for Wikipedia.

In Phase I, Wikipedia was based on UseModWiki. Later, Magnus Manske developed a custom system in PHP, which was used in Phase II. In Phase III, Manske's script was rewritten for enhanced scalability by Lee Daniel Crocker. This version is now developed by a large group of developers.
