TECO was the `Text Editor and COrrector' and it ran on several machines in DEC's product line, including the DEC10. It was a powerful line-oriented editor, and represented, for its many users, the bridge software that dominated an important segment of this marketplace while EMacs was evolving and hardware was improving enough to make EMacs effective. |
