Ein klassisches duales GPL-Commercial-Lizenzmodell hat z.b. MySQL. Dass nur die GPL restriktiv genug ist, um ein Dual-Licensing-Business aufzubauen schein übrigens nicht zu stimmen: Sleepycat verwendet eine einfache, BSD-stämmige Lizenz mit mehr oder weniger gleichem Effekt.

Das Besondere am 1060-Modell ist, dass (meines Wissens zum ersten Mal) verlangt wird, darauf aufbauende Software zu open sourcen, egal ob und wie sie verteilt/vertrieben wird. Für meinen Geschmack (als Benutzer) etwas zu restriktiv, aber immerhin eine klare Linie in Sachen internal deployment.
