Slauti is back (communicating)!Extremely interesting [create Linux Clustering] stuff today on Hensen's.vanilla-vista is back on lcom! Rejoice!

A TouchGraph article on nooface.

The next step in vanilla-vista-world is to transplant the Vanilla-specific changes to the most recent version, which supports HTML hints. As Alex Shapiro says, "popups would mostly eliminate the need to go outside the graph." Kühl: A Google Programming Contest — and now do something interesting! [ Ø SWHACK • ]

Down in the subspace ;-)

Wow, that vista stuff is cool. If only clicking on the snip names redirected the browser to those snips, I would be in data visualisation/navigation heaven.

You can right-click on a node - that will give you the option to open a browser window. Double-click loads additional context. Single-click is unfortunately needed for smooth graph navigation .... BTW, the framework I use for Vista is TouchGraph (which rocks).

Great! I can't wait to see the html hints. I wrote up some more comments on Vista at TG News, you can take a look here: www.touchgraph.com/news.html#020602

Hey Alex! Glad to see you here! ;-) Actually TG/Vista visualizations are a great incentive to refactor snips into smaller units, make them more specific etc., therefore avoiding "overcrowded" infospots.

I thought about splitting daily entries into subsnips already - i.e. 2002-02-06-vistaIsBack, 2002-02-06-googleProgrammingContest etc. 2002-02-06 would simply include/link to those ... Maybe I'll try it. It might indeed remove some of the semantic noise (which I often find rather entertaining, however ;-).

re refactoring snips, chris: very good idea!
