Gastautor Lars schreibt: REBOL ist nicht unbedingt die Sprache, die sich zu [create Assembler], [create Basic], C und Java einreiht. Aus diesem Grund wollte ich einfach einmal, weil sie mir gerade so über den Weg gelaufen ist, Yindo erwähnen.

Ab und an Yindo zu erwähnen kann sicher nicht schaden ;-)

wenn hier schon Yindo erwähnt wird, sollte man auch Lua nennen, auf dem Yindo basierte. Yindo ist Lua 3.2 mit OpenGL und Sound libs dran. Lua ist allerdings mit version 4 (aktuell) und bald 5.0 deutlich weiter entwickelt.
Yindo ist nicht OpenSource, also nur von den Entwicklern weiter entwickelbar, während die zugrundeliegenden Libs das durchaus sind.
