M:N relationships in Rails: has_and_belongs_to_many (nice!).

In contrast to Helma, the Rails model layer - Active Record - saves you from having to declare value mappings (title, firstName &c.) as well as from having to explicitly map join tables for m:n relations. Per default, table names are inferred by pluralizing class names: A class named Person is guessed to be backed by a table named persons.

Sehr interessant indeed. Am konvenientesten wäre freilich ein Mechanismus, der das OR-Mappen mit der Erstellung der DB-Tables kombiniert.
Praktische Erfahrungen mit Rails, anybody?

I've just played around with some Hello World stuff in Rails, but I find that it really makes developing regular web apps much easier. I did my index of Danish laws (http://jura.unicast.org/law/) in less than an hour, not including the time it took to write the scraper.

I guess that Rails makes developing web apps about as easy as Helma does ;-) It looks very nice.
